What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I gained a lot from experiecne and I would recommend this program to any individual that would like to study abroad. I find that it changes a person's perspective on how the other half lives. I enjoyed my stay at Roehampton and learned a lot about not only the country of England, but also of Scotland and Paris. I was intrigued that Roehampton students only have class once a week however the content they learned is more difficult than what I was learning at my home institution along with having more independent work to be completed. Also I was not in the city of London but on the outskirts however felt that I could be in the city within 20 minutes and enjoy all the aspects of the city while being in a more suburban area.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I really enjoyed going to Roehampton because the classes only met once a week and it allowed more time to explore the country and the city of London.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The program that I worked with were always just an e-mail away and if I needed anything I could e-mail them and they were quick with their responses.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I really enjoyed where I stayed at Roehampton. I lived on campus with five other students and my accommodations were nice and I had an individual room but shared a kitchen and bathroom.

* Food:

The city of London itself has ton of choices and a wide variety of food selections.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

My campus has plenty of activities, clubs, and organizations that students can join while they are studying abroad. Also there are many social places in which the students can interact when they need a break from studying.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

A Look Back

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? If you would like to study in the country of England and would like to be near the vicinity of the city of London, then Roehampton is a perfect school to study at and there are also other cities that are within a bus trip or a trip on the tube to explore.
