Study Abroad at Roehampton: A Life-Changing Experience! Past Review
By Karrie W (Kinesiology and Exercise Science., Colby-Sawyer College) for
CISabroad (Center for International Studies): London - The London Semester
It is very hard to explain to people how incredible my experience was. You really just have to experience it. The best thing is to go with a completely open mind and integrate into their culture and stay open to new experiences. Because of my time there, I am going to try to do my graduate work back in England.

Finances
|
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
| Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | I spent at least 100 pounds per week, however I only had class on Monday and Tuesday, so I had a lot of time to go out. |
| Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | There really weren't any expenses that I did not anticipate. Public transportation was a little more that I had anticipated, however I found that while in the city it was very easy to walk wherever I needed to go. The best advice about spending is to make a weekly budget and then actually follow it. |
