Best Decision Ever Past Review
By Jasmine C (TVF, California State University - Los Angeles) - abroad from 07/15/2014 to 11/30/2014 with
CISabroad (Center for International Studies): Newcastle - Semester in Newcastle
I learned about the Australian culture and what it was like to live in different countries. I also learned how easy it is to make friends of different cultures and that Australia is actually quite diverse, especially in the cities. I gained the independence and sense of leadership skills by planning different weekend trips around Australia. It was totally worthwhile.

The Nearly Native or Trail BlazerCraving the most authentic experience possible, perhaps you lived with a host family or really got in good with the locals. You may have felt confined by your program requirements and group excursions. Instead, you'd have preferred to plan your own trips, even skipping class to conduct your own 'field work.' |
