Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

A hearty workload that keeps you exploring the city. Papal Art Papal Power is one of the best classes I have take in my entire life. The Student Director is not bi-cultural sensitive as he ought to be, but ignore him if that gets in your way, remember you are in another country!

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

All the Professors I have met, I have just loved. Super friendly and wanting you to have a good time and learn. The actually administration have a couple of people employed that need to learn more about American culture since it is the American University of Rome.They might get offended by something that is typical to any American and do something that might not offend a Roman, but to and American. You will just have to learn t strug these people off

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

You live in a great neighbor hood in a place whee tourist hardly hard, so you have to work on your Italian. But if you are not there to learn Italian, you have your flat mates and you are a bus ride from an english conversation. All apt. are not equal to all the students. I liked in a crappy apt. in compared to some of my class mates, but in Roman standards it was still very very nice.

* Food:

Its Italy....at some point you might feel like you need American food, but dont over binge once you see it, you been eating organic, fresh, healthy foods for so long that your body will reject the grease.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I didnt just met other Americans from all over the States, but Romans and other Italians, Belgians, Canadians, and Spaniards.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Always felt safe, even walking around at night. They are in a safe neighborhood and they put you in an apt in a safe neighborhood. They also gave advice to where to go and what times are safe and incase of emergencies what to do and get anything you need.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Language

If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?
