Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
The teachers there were amazing and very personable. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
Tried to make a schedule change that would have been incredibly helpful for my credit transfer, and for my ability to stay engaged and achieve a balance between school and experiencing Greece. However, I did not get any help and was shut down immediately. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
I was lucky to be living with some great people and the apartment was very nice. Nothing crazy but I was very happy with it. |
* Food: |
School provides lunch for free and serves a random meal each day. It ranged from mediocore to pretty good. Food in Greece in general is very good and the prices are incredibly cheap. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
I didn't really make any greek friends that were my age, similar to most people in my program. But i got a solid understnading foe the daily life of the city and got to know some of the restaurant workers. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
Didn't really come across any health related issues or experiences. |
* Safety: |
Honestly much safer than what I was told to expect. Just don't do obviously stupid things like walking through a park alone at night, or leaveing your valuables in places that make them easy to steal. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
It was perfect, any issues were my fault. |
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
I could have spent a lot less but the desire to try restaurant made foods, travel, and experience the night life became very expensive. |
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | 300-400$ |
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Buy groceries for breakfast! |

Comments: | Possibly the best teacher I have ever had. He kept me so engaged and was extremely knowledgeable about the topic. Only had two assignemnts throughout the semester (mid-term and final). It was reasonably challenging and I learned a lot. |
