I made amazing friends, American and locally. My housing assignment was close to campus, apartments allowed me to live in a safe budding greek community. Close to restaurants and coffee shops.

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

I found Greece is definitely more affordable than the US. My program provided lunch during the week days, which relieved much of the burden.

Sociology of Dissent

Course Department: Sociology
Instructor: Rosa Vasilaki
Instruction Language: English
Comments: "The Sociology of Dissent" was a very interesting and thought-provoking course. Through historical and modern lenses, the course examined diverse kinds of dissent, combining theoretical concepts with real-world instances. My professor encouraged thoughtful debate and critical thinking, which made every lesson lively and enlightening. We explored graffiti and historical and contemporary manifestations of dissent in Greece while on a walking tour, which helped us better grasp how dissent affects social change.
