Review Your Program
|
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
The educational program was very enjoyable, it met my expectations in terms of vigor, and all of the teachers were extremely supportive, and clearly want all students they have to succeed. |
|
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
The Administration was very helpful whenever we needed anything. |
|
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
My apartment in Greece was very nice. It was a little small, and the delay on boiling water was a little annoying, but it was more than made up for with the excellent choice in neighborhoods. |
| * Food: |
Greek food was unbelievable, I have never had anything like it, and I highly recommend it for all future visitors. |
|
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
The culture was taught to us as part of one of my classes, and the local people made me feel very welcome and integrated. |
|
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
Didn't have very many experiecnces with healthcare, other than one visit to a pharmacy, which was an easily resolvable matter. |
| * Safety: |
Overall, I felt safe whenever I was in Athens, especially in the Pangrati neighborhood I stayed in. Be sure to be aware of your surroundings, and you will be fine. |
| If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
I met many great friends on this program, and I had professors that I am still probably going to be learning lessons from many years into the future. I had learning experiences and adventures that I will never forget. Knowing what would happen during this trip, I would do it again in a heartbeat. |
Finances
|
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|

| Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | I would just say to watch your expenses, and be sure to cook at home for at least part of the week. Also, this program provides lunches, take advantage of that. |
