Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
Workload was fair if not a little light. Teaching methods were not hands on or particularly related to real life experience at all. Entire grades are based solely off the final exam which seems odd considering how important diversifying risk is in business practice. To summarize my educational experience in a nutshell would be to just say that it was different in neither a good nor bad way. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
I think the international office was only open for 6 hours a day 4 days a week. Even during the first few hectic weeks when 700+ exchange students are adapting. Many aspects of the program felt excruciatingly unorganized. One thing they definitely did right was engaging interaction between international students. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
I had to use the school's private housing application process to get housing because they have no where near enough student housing available. I was very disappointed I wasn't able to live in a student dormitory. However, my landlord was very nice and accommodating. The neighborhood was very safe. I have been lost numerous times at 5 in the morning and was not the least bit concerned. The metro stop was about 15minutes away and about a 5min ride to school and less to the main part of town. |
* Food: |
Simply put food was different and more expensive than what I'm used to even in Hawaii. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
2 weeks of organized interaction with international students. The school also organized a trip to Oslo and Berlin. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
I had no experiences with health care. Copenhagen is a very safe city and I didn't hear of anyone having any safety issues. It's safer than Hawaii by far. I got lots of campus security emails while I was abroad and none from CBS. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
