What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned how to be self-motivated. I also learned how to be independent and how to better manage my time. It was more than worthwhile. I loved living in Europe and experiencing a different culture. It was truly amazing and I would do it again.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

You learn a lot of self-motivation but the classes are quite boring and the fact that your entire grade depends on one exam is A LOT of pressure.

Always very responsive and helpful when you need them.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I loved my room and the location of my residence but it was so loud and the kitchens were always so dirty.

* Food:

The food here is expensive and not very good. You have to cook in order to not break your bank.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

My buddy introduced me to a lot of her Danish friends so that helped a lot. They are great people and very funny and friendly.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I got sick a few times while in Denmark. I went to the Emergency Room one time because I did not know my primary doctor because I had not yet received my yellow card. I did not receive it until less than a month before I had to leave to return home.

* Safety:

I always felt safe, no matter what time of the day it was.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Copenhagen is very expensive. If you really try you can save money, but you need to cook literally every meal, you can't waste any food, and you can't go out every weekend.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Do not eat out often, drink before you go out rather than spend money at the clubs/bars
