What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I gained an appreciation for another culture and learned so much about other people as well as myself. It has definitely made me a more mature person and I have a different outlook on the world now.

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The resources available were excellent but I think that the classes were much easier than my home university.

They were always available and had a great office that you could go to. The only problem was that their hours were a bit short.

* Housing:

Loved living with all international students but I was not exposed to as many Danish students as I would have liked.

* Food:

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Copenhagen is very expensive because the standard of living is higher there.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Buy a monthly pass for public transportation or buy a bike and sell it back at the end of the semester.

How much did the program encourage you to use the language?

0 = No encouragement, 5 = frequent encouragement to use the language

Craving the most authentic experience possible, perhaps you lived with a host family or really got in good with the locals. You may have felt confined by your program requirements and group excursions. Instead, you'd have preferred to plan your own trips, even skipping class to conduct your own 'field work.'
