About
Soria, a province with a great literary tradition, a cradle of renowned poets, playwrights, and storytellers and the scene of great works of universal literature, will serve as the backdrop for this wonderful summer program: Literature, History, Art and Culture in Soria, Spain. During this 3-week program, students will study renowned works of literature set in Soria; students will have the opportunity to more deeply understand the literature by immersing them in the vibrant and rich cultural and historical milieu that still exists today while exploring the past through these important works.
This program will be based at the Centro Internacional Antonio Machado (CIAM) which was created in 2013 and brings together the experience of the Duques de Soria Foundation to organize courses, seminars and academic activities on Spanish language and culture. CIAM will serve as the administrative site for the program arranging for classroom space, housing, excursions, as well as providing logistical and academic support as needed.
PREREQUISITES – two years of college Spanish or the equivalent.
