About
This program is competitive and can accept only 4 students per session.
This program offers a unique learning opportunity for students who are interested in pursuing a carrier in the medical field. By completing a medical internship abroad, aspiring doctors can gain valuable exposure to the medical field in a setting they likely won’t find in the United States. Internships are an essential requirement for almost any medical degree and they are part of the process of becoming a professional. Students will perform internships at CHU Fes University Hospital. The current specialties available for internship are Nephrology, Neurosurgery, Cardiology, Pediatrics, and Oncology. Upon successful completion of the program, students will be awarded certificates of clinical hours. Students who wish to receive credit may do so after acceptance with permission of the Faculty Advisor for the program and earn 4 credits, Medical Internship (BIO 595). Students do NOT register for a course - the Center for Global Engagement will register students. All students are required to submit a weekly report and end project presentation. Students will experience first hand the rich Moroccan culture. Planned activities are scheduled every weekend during the visit.
