CSI’s partner, Menéndez Pelayo International University (UIMP) in Santander, offers Spanish language and culture courses to students from more than 45 countries. Students have the opportunity to take Spanish at any level, while living on the coast of the beautiful Cantabria Region of northern Spain. Students can choose to live in on-campus accommodations or stay with a host family, which may allow for a more in-depth experience of the local culture.
Menéndez Pelayo International University (UIMP) is considered one of the leading summer universities in Spain and attracts students from more than 45 countries. The University's most symbolic building, Palacio de la Magdalena, formerly used as a summer residence for King Alfonso XIII, was restored in 1995 to create classrooms and computer facilities. Spanish language and culture courses for foreign students are taught at the nearby Las Llamas campus.
