I learned that the best way to learn something is to submerse yourself in it and take chances. Definitely worthwhile.

Do you have any tips/advice on the best ways to practice the language for future study abroad participants? Read as much as you can, you'll gain new vocabulary. Try and watch movies or tv shows in that language because it will make you more familiar with speech patterns, mannerisms, and colloquialisms.
