What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
YES! I met the greatest people and had some of my favorite teachers. Also the traveling I did was amazing.

Review Your Program

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The teaching methods were much different than American schools. There were a lot of group work and projects, but they really got the students to get to know each other through study tours.

On-site administration of your program

The study tour trips were very helpful and made my learning even more worthwhile. I just did not like where I was placed to live, because it was 30 km away from the city.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I did not mind my living arrangement because I had my own room and shared a kitchen with an American student, but it was difficult to work with the other 2 local students because we were all on different schedules.

* Food:

Could have used a little more money on my food stipend card.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

The study trip to Prague and Cesky Krumlov were unbelievable.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Thankfully I did not have any health issues because my residency card never came to my mail box. But the city is pretty safe, but still take precautions.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Watch the amount of money on your stipend card, and go out to places at night that don't have huge coverages. You will always have to pay for coat check as well.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Just relax and the time will really fly by. Denmark is such a great location that you can travel anywhere in Europe.
