Fun, but not too rewarding. Past Review
By A student (Economics., Middlebury College) - abroad from 01/20/2012 to 05/20/2012 with
DIS Copenhagen: Semester
I learned how to cook for myself. Actually learned a lot about Renewable and Sustainable Energy, which is really cool. Wouldn't say it was as worthwhile as it would have been if I had been in a foreign language program or in a completely different type of society.

Copenhagen is VERRRRY expensive for doing anything other than just cooking for yourself and going to and from class during the day. Definitely felt like I had to operate under a pretty tight budget in terms of eating out, going to attractions, and going to bars. |
* Was housing included in your program cost? | Yes |
* Was food included in your program cost? | Yes |
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | $125 |
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Don't go to Copenhagen if you're looking to save money. If you are going and want to spend only a moderate amount, buy a lot of pasta and eggs and vegetables at the store, definitely cheapest to go that way. Don't go out too often. |

How many hours per day did you use the language? | |
Do you have any tips/advice on the best ways to practice the language for future study abroad participants? | Immerse yourself by trying to talk to people as much as you can. Listen to radio and just listen to people on the streets to pick up small things. |

A Look Back
* What did you like most about the program? |

* What could be improved? |
|
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | I would have liked to hear all of my friends experiences and stories before selecting my program. It only does so much to hear reviews from strangers. Also, it kindof takes just experiencing it to know what you want. Copenhagen was great, but I'd call it more of a "Semester in a City" as opposed to a Semester Abroad. |
