Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I took 7 courses, which might have been a little much, but I enjoyed each one of them. The professors are knowledgeable professionals in their fields. Assignments consisted primarily of readings and final papers. I enjoyed using the local royal libraries.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

DIS does a great job efficiently administering a large program while still providing individual attention.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Fantastic placement! I'm still in touch with my Danish family.

* Food:

Eating out is very expensive, however, desserts like lagkage, drømmekage, and kanelsnegle are deliciously reasonable.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

Denmark has a strong healthcare system. I never needed to experience it personally.

* Safety:

I feel safe at all hours. Never had problems.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

My host family was very generous so I never felt I had to support myself monetarily. Expenses were purely for entertainment.

* Was housing included in your program cost? Yes
* Was food included in your program cost? Yes
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? 70.00 USD
