What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
They although we all actually a lot similar across countries than I thought. People behaved very similar to people back home, general mannerisms among people are pretty uniform globally.

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I played professional football there. Also had a visiting family and a buddy program. Made lots of Danish friends.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

healthcare takes forever, and they don't really do anything except make you buy something from some other store. I guess that just has to do with the socialist economy and not really the program.

* Safety:

It's Denmark! What is there to be afraid of?

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Sooooooooooooooooooo expensive. Stressed about finances often. The stipend they give to us was an absolute necessity.

* Was housing included in your program cost? Yes
* Was food included in your program cost? No
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? not sure. A lot.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Try not to go out so much on the week days. Don't buy beer/shots at the bar, pregame before hand. If traveling to other places, use buses instead of flying, its much cheaper usually.

How much did the program encourage you to use the language?

0 = No encouragement, 5 = frequent encouragement to use the language

Everybody speaks excellent English so it was not a concern.

What was the highest level language course you had completed prior to departure? 5 years of spanish between middle school and high school
How many hours per day did you use the language? 0
Do you have any tips/advice on the best ways to practice the language for future study abroad participants? Listen, Learn, and go out of your comfort zone a bit and try practicing it on some of the locals. Ladies love it when you ask them to teach you some of their language.
