A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • The people in Copenhagen/being in Copenhagen
  • "Hygge," which doesn't translate directly but is the overall feeling of coziness
  • The location of DIS - super convenient, right in the city center
* What could be improved?
  • No field studies during finals
  • Sometimes the workload was a lot when we returned from travel breaks and right before; i.e. professors' syllabi all had huge assignments due at the same time
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? That KU's campus is right next to DIS, so I would have taken a course there - online it says you're responsible for finding classrooms, etc. when really it is right around the corner. Honestly I think it would have been great to take classes with other Danes/international students rather than all Americans.
