The course work was a bit more than than average and the teachers follow Denmark's teaching culture of letting you take control of the learning process. If you don't ask for help or clarification, they will not give it, but if you do,they will be more than happy to help! |

DIS is extremely accommodating no matter where in the semester you are. People were switching housing programs even by the end of the year due to issues and in extreme cases when there is no room, they will get a hotel for you. |

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
I absolutely loved my living arrangement. I was in the Arts LLC and it was so much fun! I loved the people and our SRA that watched over us. |
| * Food: |
Denmark has some bland tasting food but great pastries! It is also expensive to eat out so look up some cooking recipes to keep your taste buds entertained! |

How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
I felt Completely integrated. My experience may vary to others because I was in a child development course that put me into the community of Denmark. |

How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
Health Care system is great and simple to use. Just make sure you get your CPR number. |

Safest place to be. There was not a moment where I questioned my safety. Everyone is there just to live their lives in peace. |
| If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
It is such a great program in a great country with amazing people. I miss it so much! |
Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
It is an expensive country but a majority of my expenses were from traveling, eating out, and souvenirs. Everything else DIS included from your payment to them before you arrive. |

| Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Get a credit card with a Chip! Don't spend money on alcohol with your grocery card. I did it only on two items but I wish I had that money at the end of the semester. Eating out i great but look for cheap places. Traveling is going to really expensive no matter what. Make sure you look at the currency when traveling before hand so you know what value the dollar is to them. Switzerland is deadly expensive so watch out. Spain is really cheap! |

Danes speak incredible English. they learn the language since they were in first grade. |

| * What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | That DIS is non affiliated with the American Tax system meaning they don't pay American Taxes so you have to amend your taxes by filing the invoice with scholarships you get for the program. If not the scholarships can be over the allowed free money you can get and turn into taxable income. This will make your EFC jump a great amount and you will be responsible for that the next semester at your home institution. Make sure you add the invoice to you taxes and show that the oney goes to tuition. |
