An Abroad Experience with a Lasting Impression Past Review
By A student (Brandeis University) - abroad from 01/13/2018 to 05/12/2018 with
DIS Copenhagen: Semester
I learned so much about Danish society and culture through my time with my host family, as well as the content of my classes. This experience was definitely worthwhile, as I now have a better understanding of Denmark's practices (especially in the heath care sector), plus I have a lifelong relationship with a family in Denmark.

I think DIS did an incredible job of giving us experiences outside of the classroom. We were really able to take advantage of the fact that we were in Europe through the study tours, as well as appreciate new places and learning environments on our field study days. I also appreciated the several breaks we had, which gave us even more opportunities to travel around the continent on top of the class field trips. |

The Nearly Native or Trail BlazerCraving the most authentic experience possible, perhaps you lived with a host family or really got in good with the locals. You may have felt confined by your program requirements and group excursions. Instead, you'd have preferred to plan your own trips, even skipping class to conduct your own 'field work.' |
