I made some good friends on a water polo team I joined. I also learned a lot about myself. It was definitely worthwhile

I made concentrated efforts to integrate myself with the local culture. If I had not, I don't think I would've met any Danes. DIS is a very insular American program.

I'd want to spend less time around Americans, and to learn more Danish

A Look Back

  • Downsize. There were too many students to provide quality experience to all of them
  • Stop putting kids who don't want to be in homestays in homestays.
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? That there would be over 1000 other Americans on the program
