Was not particularly intense, and some of the classes felt like a waste of time.

On-site administration of your program

I had a lot of trouble getting medical records transferred. They did not have a working fax machine and were not particularly helpful helping me with the urgency of the situation.

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The building itself was great. However, I wanted to live in a kollegium to be integrated with local Danes, and my particular kollegium didn't have many. I was told on day one that the Danes there didn't really want to interact with American students and that new Danes who were interested in interacting with us would move in later in the semester, but that didn't happen. I also never saw the living coordinator after the first day, so there was definitely a lack of a sense of community, which is something that I had hoped for.

The food card was certainly a help to have.

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Having a visiting host family was incredibly helpful. Again, I wanted more integration, which is why I tried to be in a Kollegium, but got no integration from that.

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

Really poorly-- again, I had to completely independently search for a way for medical records to be transferred because no one would help and they gave up quickly.

Very good, other than getting my bike stolen

Great for gaining independence. A very cool and manageable city
