What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned a great deal from study abroad. I learned much about Danish language and culture, and also grew as a person during this time. Overall, my experience was very worthwhile.

I was satisfied with my living arrangements.

I was responsible for my own meals and was satisfied with the arrangement.

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I felt fairly integrated with the local culture.

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I did not need healthcare during the program, but the system sounded like it would be helpful if I did need it.

* Safety:

Copenhagen felt very safe during my time there.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

I really enjoyed studying in Copenhagen and would do the same program again.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

I was able to live on a student budget, though Copenhagen overall was a very expensive city.

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • I really enjoyed taking classes in Copenhagen and also exploring the city and everything it had to offer during weekly field studies.
* What could be improved?
  • I think that I would have liked more opportunities through the program to meet local Danish students.
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I felt prepared going on this program, but I wish I knew how different my weekly expenses would be regarding food/transportation, which were just very different from at home and at college.
