What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned how valuable traveling is to developing one's independence, character, and new interests. There is so much to be learned from new places and the people you'll meet there. Every single cliché things you hear about the value of traveling is true.

The professors were incredibly well-versed in their respective subjects and my favorite classes were heavily discussion-based.

Do you have any tips/advice on the best ways to practice the language for future study abroad participants? Definitely take Danish Language and Culture, it really helps with better understanding Danish culture (and navigating the grocery stores).

A Look Back

  • Organization/support that DIS provided
  • Meeting other students from American universities but also being urged to integrate with Danish culture
  • Ease of transport around the city and how DIS provides a metro card or bike
* What could be improved?
  • Amount on grocery card (which is given to supplement food shopping costs) could be increased considering the price of the program
  • Better study tour activities
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Consider staying for a full year!
