Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
I thought there was a very wide range of academic intensity-- some of my classes were quite challenging (such as Ethical Brain at KU) and other were underwhelming (such as neuroscience of fear). |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
DIS was well organized. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
I was not satisfied, I had explicitly asked to live with local students and instead was placed with 5 other Americans. |
* Food: |
Groceries are expensive, and while the gift card we got was helpful, I wish more were given. It also would have been really nice to have a shared cafeteria. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
I didn't feel like I got many opportunities to integrate with local Danes. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
Had to go to the hospital and it went very well. Love the Danish healthcare system. |
* Safety: |
I always felt very safe. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
No
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|

* Did your program have a foreign language component? | Yes |
How much did the program encourage you to use the language?

How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? | None |
