What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned how to take care of myself and connect with people of different personality types and with different interests in a way I dont really need to at MIddlebury. I also learned to love navigating cities on my own and travelling with a variety of people who I dont necessarily know as well as my friends from home. It was worthwhile.

I think this was the program I needed as someone who has never lived in a city and mostly enjoys outdoor activities with people from similar backgrounds and personalities when im home

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • Copenhagen is beautiful and peaceful
  • Biking everywhere is so accessible and the city is so clean
  • Fresh, amazing food
* What could be improved?
  • More variety in schools they pull in
  • the program is mostly women which I didnt know going in
  • Housing was not great for everyone even though I had a good experience
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? the DIS program is mostly women and traveling will be a big part of your experience likely as many students take that approach

Comments: Yes it was challenging and there were relevant and engaging field trips. The teachers were knowledgable. Participated slightly less than at MIddlebury. Assessed on papers, exams, and presentations. Some of the exams were a little oddly graded.
