What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I loved being able to fully immerse myself in the Danish culture while living in Copenhagen. While I did take advantage of traveling on the weekends, I also got to know the city very well. It was definitely worthwhile!

The general practitioners were very difficult to communicate with and were dismissive of any health concerns.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

DIS made it very easy to adjust to the city and its culture. It was very helpful to have them organize our residence permit registration. They provided continuous support and resources throughout the semester. The short and long study tours that were incorporated into the semester made the experience so unique.

  • Being taught by Danish instructors

  • More housing support for students living far from the city in non-DIS buildings
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Spend time in Copenhagen and around Denmark, especially at first, instead of traveling every single weekend. Copenhagen is expensive, so set a budget if possible and try to save money for the end of the semester.
