By A student (Psychology, Middlebury College) - abroad from 08/18/2023 to 12/13/2023 with
DIS Stockholm Semester
It was definitely worth it. I meet people I probably wouldn't have become friends within the Middlebury bubble. It was a lovely reset from the sometimes toxic Middlebury environment. I learned to be more open-minded, optimistic, and less judgemental.

DIS is well resources. I had people I could reach out to in every division. The academic rigor and intensity overall were high school level, but there were definitely gems like Positive Psychology. |

Yes
I meet a diverse group of people not from Middlebury. It was big enough to find my people but not too big, where I would feel lost. I enjoyed the variety of psychology classes offered and most of the teachers. I liked how we were given time off to explore other parts of Europe as well as the study tours. |

Reasons For Studying Abroad
To help future students find programs attended by like-minded individuals, please choose the profile that most closely represents you. |
The Avid AdventurerThe wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal. |
