Learning new academic and lifestyle perspectives in Sweden June 04, 2026
By A student (Middlebury College) - abroad from 01/15/2026 to 05/14/2026 with
DIS Stockholm Semester
What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I think that the most important concept that I gained was the concept of work/life balance that people in Sweden have. I also really enjoyed the classes that I took with concepts not offered at my home university. The research opportunity I got was also extremely fulfilling.

Reasons For Studying Abroad
| To help future students find programs attended by like-minded individuals, please choose the profile that most closely represents you. |
The Nearly Native or Trail BlazerCraving the most authentic experience possible, perhaps you lived with a host family or really got in good with the locals. You may have felt confined by your program requirements and group excursions. Instead, you'd have preferred to plan your own trips, even skipping class to conduct your own 'field work.' |
