What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?

My time abroad allowed me to become more independent. This was the first time I had been abroad by myself and I was a little nervous for it. But as soon as I got there, I was greeted by DIS staff that was friendly and made the transition easy.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.	Class were very interesting. Both of the classes I took were psychology classes and I really liked how culture was incorporated into both programs. We were expected to complete homework each night, but workload was not overwhelming.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program?	Yes Overall, DIS was a very well rounded program. I took classes that interested me and meet friends that I would later travel all around Europe with! My professors helped with cultural adjustments and provided a unique classroom experience that could only be experienced abroad.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants?	It is important to look up activities that are in your price range. Sometimes museums have free days for students, so just make sure you ask around if there are any quick ways to save money!

Comments:	This class was challenging in that a lot of material was presented to us in a short period of time. During this course, students experienced a study tour where we traveled to Munich for a week. This experience allowed us to meet with various professionals and learn about their experiences in this field. Bettina created a curriculum that focused on the brain and mechanisms that produced fear. I thought that this class was very interesting and not necessarily a class that my home institution would offer! Overall, a great experience!
Credit Transfer Issues:	I do not believe I will have issues transferring credits.

Comments:	Class was very engaging. I like how classroom discussions were emphasized in this class. Our professor, Claudia, offered insight into the culture of Copenhagen that helped shape classroom discussion. Throughout the class students gave presentations in order to demonstrate our understanding of materials learned in the classroom. Students were expected to participate in field study opportunities and reflect on those experiences in class. We had daily readings that were required for class the following day.
