Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The two courses I took were worlds apart: One was a design + Society class taught by an amazing professor and absolutely changed my educational outlook. The classroom was very intimate and my peers were absolutely amazing and taught me a lot. My second class was Human Trafficking and Prostitution and was taught by a lawyer who taught for extra money and you could tell - she didn't have any interest in the class and taught us her opinions, and the quality of my peers was entirely different. Most people had no interest in the class and simply studied abroad to go out and party every night.

On-site administration of your program

Absolutely loved the program, great location, great facilities, awesome staff. I am surprised the program is not much more prestigious than I an aware of, it was amazing!

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I lived in a Kollegium, with my own room/bathroom and a shared kitchen. It was very hard meeting people since the only common area was the kitchen and since it was summer the people on my floor seemed to come and go. But cookware, silverware, towels, etc. were all nice and it was only a 10 minute bike ride from the city center!

The food is very expensive, like everything else in Copenhagen, but there were tons of healthy, cheapish places around DIS and tons of little grocery stores and markets.

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I never once worried about my safety in the city, even throughout the night. It was shockingly safe feeling, and very friendly.
