Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 2 weeks - 1 month

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The workload was equivalent to the load from UNL. However, they focuses on hand crafted models and presentations, while UNL uses the computer-aided designs more. The grading was difficult. They give most of the class barely passing grades, with only a few higher grades. Usually about 25% of the class fails each project. It seems more common to fail out of classes in this university.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The support systems prior to arrival were bad, but during the experience they were great.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I lived with a fellow student from Nebraska, and also two local Irish students. It was near college and turned out to be a great fit for me.

* Food:

The food was similar to Nebraska, less processed. I enjoyed the food.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

The culture was loud and fun.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I felt safe in Ireland.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)
