What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
It was definitely worthwhile! I improved my language skills, became a more experienced traveller, and became more independent overall.

Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? None

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The program was very well organized. Courses were challenging, but not overwhelming. There was some time for travel, but it was limited enough that we were encouraged to stay in Italy and not leave the country too often. Living situations were organized for us, which was very helpful, but the dorm situation was a little less desirable than at Wesleyan.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? It goes very fast, so make the most of everyday! I also did not realize how important it is to try to make local friends, even if it is intimidating, because it can be lonely at times.
