You cannot explain it; it must be experienced! Past Review

I learned that we in America take a lot for granted. Even just having up-to-date textbooks was something that the Bahamians struggled with. I learned that the children there look toward careers that help people. Americans tend to choose careers in which they are just bettering themselves.

* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
It was a change of pace compared to living in the states. It felt like I was going to camp for a week. I liked staying in the cabins instead of some fancy hotel (which wasn't even an option). |
| * Food: |
The food was actually really good! I got to try new things while I was there, while still eating some of the stuff I was originally used to. |

Finances
|
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
It was all worth the money. Scholarships helped to pay for most of my trip. |
| Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | $250 |
| Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | If you don't plan on getting any souvenirs then you probably won't spend much money at all! |
