Southwestern Germany: Goofy in its Seriousness Past Review
By omalleym8 (Valparaiso University) for
Eberhard Karls Universitat Tubingen: Tubingen - Direct Enrollment & Exchange
What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Yes. I gained a whole new level of independence, altered my political understanding, came to understand German politics, learned about the joys and perils of copious amounts of Hefeweizen, came to understand the English people, and improved my general knowledge of the world.

A Look Back
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | I would recommmend this program to students of German who haven't learned the accent of another region. One of things that hurt my German learning was that I was determined not to pick up the local accent, which precluded me from imitating the spoken German that I heard. |
