What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I am glad I did it because otherwise I would have always wondered but I wish I would have just studied abroad rather than student taught abroad. I spent a lot of money on a less than beneficial experience in that area.

Just to live with my host family cost me 180 Euros per week. It was ridiculously expensive and I had no other option.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? Considering housing was 180 euros per week (where I lived with a family), my weekly expenses were very high.

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • Being in a foreign country and being able to explore places I'd never dreamed of!
* What could be improved?
  • The support I received while over there from my program.
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I wish I would have known how unorganized and how unsupportive the EAST program coordinators were, particularily, in my area. I wish I would have known exactly how expensive it was. I wish I would have known that almost all of my time would be taken up by school work.
