What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
It was incredibly worthwhile, although it may have broken my bank account. I learned so much about myself and the world around me and now I only have the desire to discover my own country now.

Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 1 month - 6 months

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

There was an obvious difference in the European teaching style than what we were used to back at the Boston campus. Personally, I took classes that I knew would be full of philosophy, ideology, and theory which is a change from the usual production and project focused courses in Boston. It felt as though the amount of reading assignments not only increased in frequency but also in extreme quantity. The professors were highly intelligent and extremely passionate about what they specialized in. Since we only had classes four days a week and the freedom to travel three days a week, the ability to organize my time properly became essential.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I lived in a castle. How can I complain about living arrangements? Living in the princess tower of the Voorburgh would seem like a pain since we had to climb 40 steps just to get to our room and then climb down whenever we needed anything, including water, but I could never complain about that without a sarcastic tone.

* Food:

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Language

If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?
