Overall, I am definitely glad I did it. There were certain things that were disappointing, but also certain things that surpassed my expectations.

Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
I definitely enjoyed the difference in teaching styles. It gave us the opportunity to learn in ways we wouldn't have in the United States. However, I didn't come out of the experience feeling particularly enriched. I have heard in the past that you don't go to Kasteel Well for the classes, and that is definitely true. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
The Office of Student Affairs was wonderful and really made the experience above and beyond what I was expecting. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
|
* Food: |
Great dining hall. It obviously would've been nice to have a wider range of selection during meals, but that is a minor complaint. The staff were wonderful and the food was delicious. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
|
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
|
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
