Emerson College: Kasteel Well: The Netherlands
This experience was so amazingly awesome I don't even have the words to describe it. I feel a lot more independent and just more grown up as a whole. I got to experience so many things that I wouldn't have otherwise. It was incredible.

Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
The courses were styled in such a way that we learned a lot while still having time to enjoy our weekends off campus and around Europe without freaking out about a paper or whatnot. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
The administration was great and really did their best to make us feel safe and at home. They went out of their way to get us registered for spring classes, which was awesome. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
We lived in a castle. Nuff said. |
* Food: |
The food was pretty good, but it got very monotonous and when you didn't like the hot items featured, there wasn't really anything else to pick. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
It. Was. Amazing. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
I felt very safe, and whenever I got sick the castle staff would help me make doctors appointments. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
Language
Language acquisition improvement? |
I know how to ask "Do you speak English" in way more languages than before. |
A Look Back
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | DO IT. It's amazing and will change your life. |
