Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

There was a surprising lack of courses to choose from in the Los Angeles program. However, my Production Management course was one of the best classes I've had in my 4 years at Emerson College.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The apartment buildings we were placed in were overpriced and the only real benefit was the proximity to the academic building.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

There is no student health center in the Los Angeles program. I myself had to visit the local hospital a total of 3 times this semester and pay for incompetent healthcare. It would be an enormous improvement if a staffed student health center was constructed for students attending the Los Angeles program through Emerson.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

A Look Back

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Save every single spare penny you have. The Los Angeles program is inexplicably much more expensive than a longer semester back at the Boston Campus. Also, keep in contact with the internship office and let them know if you are having any problems attaining an internship before the deadline.
