Emerson College: Los Angeles - Emerson College in Los Angeles

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
The experience was definitely worthwhile. Though my internship was a big disappointment, the overall experience was still really valuable because I was able to assess whether or not I would want to work and live in LA after graduating from Emerson.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The location of the Oakwood apartments is very close to Hollywood, so the overall location in LA is good. But the internet connection is abysmal and makes using the internet in the simplest ways really difficult. Also, the scattered placement of Emerson students throughout the complex destroys any possibility of establishing a sense of community amongst the Emerson LA students.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)
