Both classes I took were seminar classes about specific film history topics. They were interesting but I was disappointed that I could not take classes I wanted to just because I had to fulfill requirements. |

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
The apartments we were given in the Oakwood Apartments were not as nice as some apartments given to students in other programs or rented out to non-student renters. Also, I know Emerson makes a profit off of students living abroad and so I think we should be given nicer apartments since we are already paying more for an apartment that was not as clean or new as the Emerson dorms in Boston. |

How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
I didn't get to attend some of the events because I was so busy with work, school and my internship and the spaces for the more expensive events filled up too quickly to go even if I wanted to. Also, I think it would have been more beneficial to have networking events or more opportunities to connect with industry people rather than going to Six Flags or horseback riding, which really doesn't help with our future in the entertainment industry. |

| * What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | You have to have a lot of spending money OR get a job while in LA in order to afford basic life (groceries, gas, etc). Don't expect Emerson to help you with the change to living in LA or LA life-you're pretty much on your own there. |
