Los Angeles Fun Past Review

Emerson College: Los Angeles - Emerson College in Los Angeles
It was absolutely worth all the waiting and worrying! I met all of my goals. I learned about the industry and I built the confidence to continue pursuing a related career. I enjoyed living in Los Angeles and I plan to seek jobs there after college.
Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
I really liked working at my internship it helped me build a lot of confidence and set some clear career goals for my self. I mostly enjoyed the classes I took at Emerson's LA center. They were very helpful in terms of helping me to understand what kind of work would be expected of me if I were to choose a career in the entertainment industry. However, the workload in my Movie Development class was a little heavy for me, considering I was at my internship 4 days a week, which was a huge time commitment and where the bulk of my priorities lied. |

A Look Back
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | I would encourage any student participating in the Los Angeles Program not to limit themselves to their current major or interests in terms of finding an internship opportunity. I was worried about finding the perfect match. I had to let go of that, and by doing so I feel like I was able to make so much more of the experience. I learned new things about myself, my interests and my abilities. |
