It wasn't abroad, but L.A. is a different world from what we from the East Coast are used to. Now I love California, I just detest L.A.

I really wish there had been more applicable classes rather than a mountain of theory. As someone who had leeway as to what I could take since I've finished my requirements, I was disappointed that I had to sit through discussions about arbitrary things. I would have enjoyed, perhaps, a class on post production, including discussing work flows and going into detail with the different jobs that that entails. Or animation. Or just a class on Adobe After Effects. Something more useful. |

Burbank is not far from the places you want to go, distance-wise, but it's really far away from anywhere time-wise. But that's a problem with L.A. |

Buy our own food. Good kitchen. |

Extremely safe housing. But, oddly not very good health services, as my roommate found out. |

A Look Back
| * What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | When you are interviewing, ask them what they are working on. Make sure they are so overburdened that they need you, and not just for grunt work. Also, EXPLORE. Get out of L.A. If you've never been to a desert, you have no idea how awesome it really is until you get there. |
