(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? Close to 150 Euro each week, but more if I was traveling.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Actually budget your money before coming here. Look into how much you are willing to spend and strategize with family or yourself.

What was the highest level language course you had completed prior to departure? Latin IV (But for German, I used to live here so no actual language course)

Do you have any tips/advice on the best ways to practice the language for future study abroad participants? Conversational language use is the best way to gain proficiency, so find someone who can also speak the language and learn together and seek out others who do as well.
