| Comments: | The course was intellectually challenging but extremely fun. We went on many field trips that contributed to the course and my knowledge of Korean society. I participated as much as I would in my classes at my home institution. Assessed on participation and presentations. |

| Comments: | This class was too challenging. I was expecting to learn basic Korean such as food, colors, greetings and farewells, etc. Ultimately, this class was a semester class in a one month course. The teachers did not understand that we didn't have enough time to do all the homework or to study outside of class. They didn't know about our filedtrips on Friday so they assumed we had lots of time to study. I wish the summer course leaders prepared this course to match our schedule. Also, the class was too late in the day. I would have had more time to explore Korea if the class had been right after my first morning class. The exams, homework and papers were too hard and too time consuming. I had my Korean friend with my homework and even after 2 hours of working I had only finished half assigned homework. I did not have a great experience with this Korean language course. |
