Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
see above section about grading. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
communication to students on requirements pertaining to attendance and requirements for assignments could be a little clearer. I did like the style of teaching that most professors gave, which encouraged all students to actively participate and challenge other's ideas. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
I felt I greatly overpaid for the housing I had. I did not feel the flat my room mates and I shared was worth the $6,500 dollars we each paid for our three and a half months. |
* Food: |
food was great. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
great nightlife and bonds with friends that went, which did not happen as a result of the classroom. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
I did not feel unsafe at school or at home for the most part. I felt that the locks on my door were adequate but the security at the bottom was not there 100% of the time. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | The pound was 1.71 times what the dollar was at the time. That being said, everything is about double what it costs in NY. If you are looking for a budget, take your budget you have in the United States and double it. |
Language
How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? | None |
