Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 0-2 weeks

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I took 6 credits over the 7 weeks. Both courses had fair workloads (two exams and a large group project). Having classes 4-5 times a week made it easy to stay up to date with the workload. Peter and Brian were both excellent professors and I learned so much from them. They would lecture, we would discuss problems in groups, and they would help us with projects. Both courses were interactive and I gained more than expected out of them.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Hugo & Mike were excellent administrators of this trip. They could always be found when they were needed and they were so helpful to talk to about EVERYTHING! They knew so much about the many cities, countries, cultures, and languages we experienced. My expectations were definitely met!

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

We always stayed at safe hotels. Most of the hotels were EXTREMELY nice! And they all offered continental breakfasts that were DELICIOUS! All hotels were located near restaurants, shops, night life, and metro stops.

* Food:

The hotels had wonderful breakfasts but other than that meals were up to us. The staff always give good advice about where to dine; however, this was definitely an expense. If you go to Rhodes, you HAVE to go to Le Gourmet which is a short walk from the Sheraton. They have the best food and let you try a little bit of everything Greek- it was my favorite meal of the entire trip! In Switzerland, buy bread and peanut butter. The food is outrageously expensive and not that great.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Every cultural event was memorable in different ways. Even though days were tiring, I feel like I truly experienced EVERY city to its fullest. Forum Nexus has a GREAT itinerary!

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

This program is completely safe and the staff will help with anything you need. My friend had an eye infection and they got up with her in the middle of the night to go to the hospital with her and did everything they could to make sure she was comfortable and safe.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)
