Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I loved my experience with Forum-Nexus. I found the professors to be both insightful and engaging. The coursework was applicable to what we were learning in the countries we visited. The exams were about as difficult as exams would be here in the US, and I found the amount of time spent on the work to be comparable to my U of M classes. The grading was fair, in my opinion. While the classes taught us a lot of material in a short amount of time, I thought it was all interesting material and not too overwhelming; I learned a lot.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The only slightly negative thing I have to say about Forum-Nexus was the ability to move students from one location to another. Moving your family from the house to the train station is a usually a problem in and of itself, so here when you're trying to move 67 people from one hotel to another, through buses, boats, and trains, it becomes a little bit difficult and a little time-consuming. We usually were running close to late, but the professors and program leaders did the best they could to keep us all in line and transport us from place to place. Besides that, they were great at having knowledge of the countries we were in and were extremely helpful and supportive in any way we needed.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

We would stay in nice hotels in every country we visited, and the process was extremely smooth everywhere we went.

* Food:

Breakfast was always complimentary in the hotel, but besides that we had to buy our own food. It really allowed us to go out and sample the local cuisine!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

All of the professional visits were extremely fun, and I learned a lot. We went to Louis Vuitton, Cordiniu Winery, and many other awesome places. The program also set up a dinner for us all on the Champs Elysees for a New Year's Eve celebration.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

We were absolutely safe and taken care of the entire time. I did not feel like I was in any danger, and all sicknesses were handled professionally and fully.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)
